Old auto repair garage abandoned long ago.
I have many interests in photographic subjects. I refuse to pigeonhole myself into one particular genre for the sake of marketing myself as a successful photographer. Hence, you see my work covers a broad spectrum of photographic and artistic styles and subjects. I shoot what I like, and I will allow my body of work to be the artistic genre that I will be known for.
That said, I do have an affinity for shooting old and abandoned buildings and spaces. When I am driving through small towns and countrysides, I keep my eye out for unusual places from the past. This building has an interesting architecture with the stepped blocks to the center—the large garage door with numerous small windows in the center and the small window to the right.
You can imagine this garage when it was new, in the 1930s or 1940s, with the large stylish cars in the shop for repair. It was a different world back then, and buildings still standing are a reminder of our past. They too, will be torn down eventually, vanishing from all memory and existence, except for this photograph.
