Classic car park with classic Chevrolet vehicle
The old town of Keeler was established in 1873 and is now considered near ghost town status. The town was originally named Hawley and is on the shore of Owens Lake. The town was primarily a mining concern until the 1960s. In 1961 the railroad terminal closed, and the tracks were removed, and Keeler was no longer a freighting.
This nostalgic image of a garage in what some would call a ghost town gives the viewer a feel of mid-19th-century life in a small American town. The excellent condition classic car parked in the garage completes the retro feel of the photograph.
