Stormy sky with orange, red, and blue over the desert landscape in Arizona
Sunset in Arizona is spectacular. Typically sunsets in Arizona and the American Southwest are more colorful and dramatic than anywhere else in the world.
At sunset, the light must follow a much longer path through the atmosphere, resulting in bright orange and red light, because Arizona’s climate has relatively lower pollution and humidity, and particles in the air like dust, makes sunsets take on a red tinge. Furthermore, Arizona’s feather-like clouds catch the light as it passes through the clouds and reflects it to our eyes against a dark sky. They are resulting in a dramatic and colorful sunsets sky.
