Citadel Hill Fort George Halifax Nova Scotia Canada

Citadel Fort (Fort George) on Citadel Hill and is now a National Historic Site of Canada in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Fort George on the hill was first fortified in 1749, the year the town of Halifax was founded in 1749.

Although there are many standard images that can be taken for a historic preserved fort, I like to find the artistic and interesting compositions. This simple composition is full of drama. The dark, thick wall for a centries of fort bunker. A photograph like this makes me ponder the history and countless people interacted with this surrounding.
