Lone maple tree in farmers field Haliburton County

Maple Tree in a snow-covered field

This is one of my favorite trees that I continue to photograph in Haliburton County, where I currently have my studio. Haliburton’s forests’ rugged terrain is densely covered in trees like you can see if this image’s background. But this one beautiful maple tree stands majestic like in the middle of the cleared field. Maple trees found in Ontario, Canada range in size and can grow to more than 40 meters in height, according to the Canadian Encyclopedia. It’s perfectly shaped, and in the winter, it looks like a fantastic graphic drawing. The intricate detail of all the branches stands out in this fine-art black and white photograph. The tall grass still able to poke through the snow-covered ground gives the image depth and increases the viewer’s interest.
