New York is a remarkable city and remains my favorite place to stroll on the streets for photographic opportunities. I like this photograph taken standing in the center of W39th Street in Manhattan. The people are moving in all directions. Your eye keeps wandering around the fine-art picture. The road is dry, yet there are at least 4 New Yorkers walking with umbrella fully open. Do these people even care about traffic? The cars and trucks that navigate the crowded streets in an endless pursuit of various destinations.
Even the buildings in this black and white photograph have a myriad of interesting architectural details that keep you looking and observing new aspects. One Manhattan building is covered in sheets of plastic as many buildings are renovated to enhance the value. The 19th-century architectural details in these office buildings are too numerous to mention but keep the viewer interested again.
