Giant Limestone Formations at the Pinnacles Australia
One of my favorite places to photograph is the Pinnacles in Australia. I spent an entire day devoted to photographing the desert sand and limestone rock formations. Throughout the day, the light conditions changed. Although at times, the harsh light created some Chromatic Aberrations in my photographs using the Nikon 24-300 mm lens. Thankfully I was able to quickly correct the Chromatic Aberrations in Lightroom.
This photograph was taken late in the day, which added an additional visual element in the long shadows on the sandy desert floor. The 3 to 5 meters limestone rock formations look like chess pieces on a giant alien board.
The leading lines of these shadows in the picture above make for a more visually exciting version of the many Pinnacles photos taken that day.
