Kilmainham Gaol Museum is a former Irish prison
The Interior Kilmainham Gaol Jail is a bleak and cold old prison. The jail was built in 1796 and quickly became notorious in the 1800s for the cruel and inhumane treatment of its inmates. The famous prison is located in 3.5km from the center of Dublin, Ireland, and is known to represent Ireland’s dark times.
The Goal Museum is a fascinating place to visit. Dozens of Irish revolutionaries were imprisoned and executed in the jail by the British.
