Prosciutto is an Italian dry-cured ham
Prosciutto is a sweet, soft and buttery tasting Italian cured ham. In fact, the word prosciutto directly translates to ham in Italian. Italians have been making prosciutto a delicacy since the Roman times, first recorded in 100 B.C. in an Italian town called Prama. Prosciutto is salted meat made from the hind legs of a pig and is then dry-cured.I the deli meat stock photograph here, we feature a thinly sliced piece of fresh prosciutto rolled for presentation. The image is shot against an isolated white backdrop.
