G20 Protest Riot Police- Toronto, Canada – 2010 – Although 5 years ago the G20 took place in Toronto Canada, and thousands of peaceful protesters were detained and arrested for no cause – including myself – I was corralled into a street intersection for 10 hours before released because they ran out of space in the jails. For the record, I was not protesting, but simply documenting by photographing peacefully.
The events that took place that day truly opened my eyes and made me appreciate what journalists and war photographs face on a daily basis.
They finally convicted a senior police officer over the mass arrests in violation of citizens constitutional rights to protest peacefully,
More than five years later, the senior officer found guilty over mass arrests, ‘kettling’ at 2010 G20 protests
