SAMRI Building Adelaide Abstract Detail

The SAHMRI (pronounced SAMRI) building in Adelaide South Australia is health, an medical research institute, and one outstanding piece of architecture. City officials in Adelaide South Australia like to boast that Adelaide has its own architectural icon, putting Adelaide on the same map alongside world-famous buildings in Sydney and Melbourne.

The abstraction shown here is of SAMRI’s (SAHMRI’s) 36 interior columns, referred to as flower columns. More information on the architecture of the SAMRI building can be found here.

The detailed architectural view of the flower columns is featured in this photo. I converted it to black and white for additional drama when a viewer is looking at the picture and trying to figure out what it is? Makes for an interesting background for many projects that require cheap stock photos.
