Massive mountains with hundreds of feet of glacier ice on the top are featured in this Antarctica landscape photograph. There are quite a few large mountains in the Antarctic. Specifically, there are three major mountain ranges; the Antarchtandes, Ellsworth, and the Transantarctic. The highest peak in the Transarctic Mountain range is almost 15,000 high.
It has been recorded that glaciers by being as deep as 6,000 feet. The glacier ice sheet in the region contains 90 percent of the world ice and 70 percent of the world’s freshwater, according to the National Science Foundation.
